As winter and the festive season is nearly here we thought we would like share some joy on our blog.
As some of you may know we made some bunny rabbit brooches a while back and I have been asking Simon to sculpt me some bear brooches for ages.
So we now have two new bears in our collection of brooches.One is a polar bear and the other a dark brown grizzly bear.

She is created from potion green antique mohair with black backing.
This little witch wears a vintage velvet cape lined in silk and trimmed with Victorian jet black beading.Her hat is made from wool felt and trimmed with vintage lace,feathers and vintage emerald green diamante.

He is airbrushed and hand tinted with glass eyes and long fine whiskers.

His cotton shirt is aged and has tiny mop antique buttons and Victorian collar.
Ratty has slight hump to his back and stands by himself in his worn leather shoes again sculpted and made by hand in our studio.

Tinkerbelle wears and cotton vintage rodent print dress from an old dolls dress.
I have trimmed her dress with vintage ric rac trim and old lace.
She has hand made leather shoes in olive green with matching bag.
She is limited to just 2 pieces as this is all the fabric I have for the dress.

New Bears and Animal Characters for Hugglets Teddies Festival 2015
We are busy in our studio making new bears and animal characters for Hugglets Teddies Festival 2015 on Sunday 13th September Kensington Town Hall London 10.30-4pm
Its always so nice to meet our collectors in person at the show so you are more than welcome to pop by our stand and say hello.
We are in Hall 1 stand 56.
Bobby
Bobby is one of our tiny miniature bears that will coming to London with us.
We will not be previewing any bears before the show but some that may be available will feature on our blog shortly after the show.

Mitzi
Mitzi is 9" high created from vintage plush which i have airbrushed and tinted.
She has a centre seam head and silk thread nose which is worn in places.
Loose jointed with wobble neck and stuffed like old bears with wood wool shavings.
Mitzi is dressed in a vintage linen and red cotton print dress.
This beautiful cotton print came from a vintage french child's dress.
Her dress is trimmed with vintage ric rac braid,
scalloped vintage cotton lace with antique mother of pearl buttons.
Mitzi carries a antique leather purse which contains a silver sixpence for luck.
Mitzi has a long pronounced nose with center seam and antique boot button eyes.

Hello I am a soft sculpture teddy bear artist/designer creating vintage looking teddy bears and animal characters. I love using antique fabrics and trimmings and spend many happy hours looking for these treasures! The Teddy Bears I make have the look of well loved and cherished companions.I use antique mohair and vintage plush I adore the look of early old antique bears from Germany and ours have all the same attributes of those traditional classic bears with long arms and spoon shaped paws,centre seam noses,boot button eyes and with a slight raised hump on the back.We are delighted that a large collection of our designs are on display at the wonderful spielzeug-welten-museum-Basel Switzerland and the Izu Museum Tokyo Japan I hope you enjoy my blog....thank you for visiting.
